The O2 Centre Masterplan is the largest planning application in Camden since the regeneration of Kings Cross and will deliver a new mixed-use urban neighbourhood spanning 14-acres of currently underutilised space in Zone 2 London.
The masterplan connects Finchley Road with West Hampstead through a sustainable community filled with 1,800 new homes (35% affordable), two new public parks and a new town centre, and 18,000 sqm of commercial spaces.
In March 2023 Camden Council’s planning committee resolved to grant planning permission which gave the green light to a c.£1 billion long-term investment in the borough, with a significant package of social, financial and community benefits. In total, the Masterplan will create 1,000 new job opportunities for local people and deliver up to £34.5m additional annual spending in the local economy, with investment in new step free station access, new NHS healthcare facility and the planting of over 150 trees.
Our team has been part of the community in Camden for the last 10 years and through working with the community have generated over £100,000 of social value since 2019. Over the next 10 years we will continue to increase our level of investment through meanwhile space, volunteering and social mobility fund, and community grants to address local needs.
We’re committed to involving and empowering local people to shape the plans for the future of this place. Alongside our partners 2-3 Degrees, we’ve brought young people together to help shape the O2 Centre Masterplan. Since 2019 we’ve had over 2,600 responses to our plans and have worked with the local community to develop our plans.
